Amendments to sanctions on North Korea
Members are reminded that a new Notice to Exporters has been issued by the Export Control Organisation.
The notice details amendments to sanctions on North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea). In particular it outlines the amendments to European Union Council Regulations and associated UK implementing legislation.
The amendments extend the list of items prohibited for export to North Korea.
The amending UK Order - the Export Control (North Korea) (Amendment) Order 2010 came into force on 28 January 2010.
At the same time the amending EU Council Regulation (EU) No 1283/2009 came into force on 23 December 2009.
